Fest at Cochin University of Science and Technology

The Department of Youth Welfare, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), will organise a festival of environment-related films from October 7 to 11 at the Department of Hindi Auditorium.
Titled ‘Reel Earth: Environmental Film Fest (EFFC) of CUSAT 2013, the programme mainly aims to create awareness on key environmental issues by promoting and screening short and medium-length films and videos focusing on environmental issues produced in different parts of the world.
Kerala Chalachitra Academy vice-chairman Joshi Mathew will inaugurate the festival. His film, ‘Black Forest’ which bagged the best environment-friendly film at the National Film Awards-2012 will be screened as the inaugural film at 5 pm.
Another movie ‘Whatever’, which was directed by Malayalee couple Sudeep and Geetika and was screened in three states Kashmir, Rajasthan and Kerala, will be screened on October 8 at 4.0 pm.
