Pandalam Suspension Bridge Ready to be Used

Suspension Bridge at Pandalam the widest bridge in the state in ready now. The Revenue Department has built the 70-metre-long, 2.5-metre-wide bridge across the Achencoil river, linking the grama panchayats of Pandalam and Kulanada at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.74 crore.
The State-owned Kerala Electrical and Allied Engineering Company Ltd. (KEL) carried out the work. The bridge has turned out to be a hanging steel pathway linking the Valiyakoickal temple on the Pandalam side and the Sree Krishna Swamy temple at Kulanada.
The 70-metre long bridge will connect the Pandalam Palace and the Kaippuzha Palace on the two sides.The steel suspension bridge is a major achievement of the Revenue Department, which has released the funds for the project from the Disaster Management Fund.
