Diamond Jubilee For Kerala Financial Corporation

Incorporated on December 1, 1953, KFC Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC), a pioneering industrial financing institution of Kerala, is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee of incorporation. During 2013-14, KFC will launch an innovative interest subvention scheme for the benefit of the manufacturing sector to give a boost to the industrial environment in the State.
The scheme was announced in Kerala Budget for 2013-14 by K.M. Mani, Finance Minister of Kerala. New ventures with technologies developed by Central and State research and development organizations as well as agencies such as the Spices Board, the Rubber Board, the Coir Board, etc. will benefit from this scheme.KFC had also recently come out with innovative schemes to finance film-making and renovation of old theaters to encourage investment in the entertainment sector and the Malayalam film industry at large.
Enterprises requiring loan amount of less than Rs 1 crore will get interest subvention of three per cent and others two per cent against normal rate of interest. It may be stated that Kerala Financial Corporation has recorded the highest-ever profit of Rs 45.65 crore in the last financial year. It also distributed the highest dividend amount declared by any public sector undertaking in the State.
