Pipeline to be laid For Kochi LNG Project by GAIL

GAIL have got approval from CM for the Kochi LNG project and have asked to go ahead with the laying of the pipeline in the city . The pipeline passes through seven districts of the state from the LNG project at Puthuvype, but the project had met with objections in Malappuram district.
People in some areas were objecting to the gas pipeline project due to lack of proper awareness, he said. Chandy, at a meeting here, asked the GAIL officials to promptly take over the land required for the project. Since work related to this project has been completed in Ernakulam district, steps have to be taken to commission it soon, Chandy said.
