Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) may dump Indian cricket board president N. Srinivasan, who is facing the heat following his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan’s arrest in connection with the IPL spot fixing scandal. “This is a serious issue. Members of the central council are informally talking about his resignation,” said the official who did not wish to be identified.
There are 31 members in the general body of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, and if the detractors of Srinivasan manage to get 24 votes, it will be curtains for him.Meiyappan was arrested last week for his alleged role in betting during the Indian Premier League matches, making it the most high-profile arrests in the case till date.
