Shocking 862 Womens Missing From Kerala Past 2 Years

In the last two years, 862 women have been reported missing from Kerala while the figure has touched 92 by March, 2013.Though there have been reports on activities of human trafficking racket in the state, police officials are of the opinion that major reason for the increase in number of women missing cases was due to domestic issues and love affairs.

According to data in the criminal intelligence gazette of the state police, 92 women were reported missing from Kerala in 2013 (up to March) while the number of cases was 494 in 2012, 368 in 2011, 347 in 2010 and 354 in 2009. The data points out that these women had gone missing either from their residences or on their way to work, colleges and other public places.
