Kerala Churches To Raise Fund For Uttarakhand Flood Victims

A Catholic archdiocese of Kerala have planned for a drive in order to raise fund for victims of Uttarakhand Floods. Archbishop of Latin Archdiocese here Soosai Pakiam issued an appeal to the church members to extend support to the flood victims in rebuilding their life.
As part of the mission, all churches under the archdiocese would conduct a fund collection drive amid the Sunday mass on July 21, he said in a written appeal issued yesterday.
Terming the tragedy as one of the largest natural disasters that India witnessed after the tsunami which hit the coastal areas of the country about a decade back, the archbishop said it was the duty of every believer to lend a helping hand to the flood victims.
