At the same time, the maximum travelling distance at minimum charge in Super Express buses has been reduced from 15km to 10km. The minimum charge of Super Deluxe buses has been increased to Rs 25 from Rs 20, while the minimum charge of the hi-tech AC bus has been increased from Rs 27 to Rs 35.
Sources from the KSRTC administration said the government agreed to the proposal submitted a few months ago to hike the charges.
