Sustainable Livelihood projects in Uttarakhand by Kerala Firms

The Technopark technology business incubator (T-TBI) has inked an MoU with Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC) for supporting sustainable livelihood projects in Uttarakhand. T-TBI, a firm incubated at the Technopark here, is the empanelled agency of Tata Institute of Social Sciences for the implementation of corporate social responsibility projects of government of India.
The projects will be implemented at New Tehri and Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. T-TBI and THDC have agreed to work together to rebuild Uttarakhand and moot sustainable livelihood options for people in the rural areas there. Those living in the dam-revamp areas under the THDC will be given self-employment training in paper bag making, office file making and drinking water chlorination.
The MoU was signed by Rakesh Khare, chief general manager, Sewa, THDC and K C Chandrashekharan Nair, CFO, Technopark and secretary of the T-TBI. The project will be implemented by Ideal Safety Systems, a virtually incubated company of the T-TBI.
