From last two Days North Kerala have been experiencing summer rains . A surprise low-pressure area in Southeast Arabian Sea and a long trough of lower pressure emanating from it and traversing all the way to Southeast Rajasthan aided the process.

It is forecast to move a bit to the southeast and then back to its original position, before weakening and becoming inconsequential. So, the south of the State should also get some rains from the system.

India Meteorological Department has warned the possibility of thunderstorms brewing at a number of places over the next two days. Thunder squall has been forecast over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim.
