Charge-sheet Against 9 Kerala Students Union Activist

The police on Tuesday submitted in court the charge sheet against nine activists of the Kerala Students Union (KSU) for allegedly dousing in discarded motor oil the Higher Secondary Director Keshvendra Kumar. On February 5, eight activists of the union, including the Thiruvananthapuram unit district secretary Sippy Noorudhin, were arrested after they barged into Mr. Kumar’s office room and allegedly threw discarded motor oil on him.
The police had charged Sippy Noorudhin, Vighnesh, Sreelal, P.A. Anees, Shanuraz, Saddiq, Adanaz, Ansar, and Shemim with destruction of public property, obstructing official duty, unlawful assembly, unlawful detention, and causing bodily harm. Video clippings of the incident have been submitted along with the charge sheet.
