Cochin Metro RoB Completed got Inaugurated

Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy on Sunday inaugurated the Salim-Rajan road-over-bridge (RoB) near south railway station of Kochi, as part of the Kochi metro. The new connectivity will pave the way to reduce the traffic congestion at the heartlands of Kochi like Mahatma Gandhi road and Chittoor road.
The total length of the RoB is 425 metre, including the railway span of 46.80 metre.The state had sanctioned five preparatory works connected with the metro at a cost of Rs 158.68 crore and entrusted the work to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in 2010.
The estimated cost of RoB is Rs 38 crore, which includes the cost of civil works, shifting of utilities, deposit with railways and cost of the land.
