Coir kerala 2015: The fifth edition will begin from Feb. first
From the February First the fifth edition of the world’s biggest annual trade event on Coir and natural fibres will begin in Alappuzha, Kerala. The Chief Minister of Kerala ‘Oomen Chandy’ will inaugurate the event at the EMS stadium on february first.
The 5-day event brings together scientists, researchers and policy-makers to discuss strategies and new projects to create jobs, improve the conditions of workers, increase productivity and earnings across the industry.This time we expect more than Rs 200 crore worth of orders through the buyer-seller meet,” said Adoor Prakash, minister for coir.
As many as 170 foreign buyers and 300 domestic buyers are expected to take part.In the event with a representation from 53 countries. The exclusive business exhibition for delegates will have an international pavilion with around 100 stalls and a national pavilion with 150 stalls. There will also be a general exhibition featuring 275 exhibitors of which 50 are from outside the state.
To improve the productivity in the sector the Coir 2015 will also introduce the modern coir products and machinery designed by the National Coir Research and Management Institute (NCRMI).
