Hummer case: Local court denied bail to Md. Nisham
On Wedneday a local court of Kerala denied bail to businessman Mohammed Nisham, charged with murder following the death of a 50-year-old security guard against whom he allegedly rammed his hummer last month.
The petition filled by Nisham was dismissed by District and Sessions Judge B Sundheendrakumar.
Chandrabose, who was seriously injured last month, battled for his life for 18 days and succumbed to injuries on February 16.
Nisham, owner of King Beedi Co, had allegedly in an inebriated state, physically assaulted the security guard and later rammed him with an SUV, a Hummer, following an argument over delay in opening the gate on January 29 at Sobha city, a posh residential township here.
Mohammed Nisham had been accused of 16 criminal cases including rape and attempt to murder before the controversial businessman fatally assaulted a security guard and rammed his Hummer into him. The owner of the Kings Group, however, went scot-free in at least nine cases.
