Job Scheme of Rs 10 Crore under MGNREGS in Attapaddy

An amount of Rs.7.17 Crore was distributed as wages to 9,213 families, mainly of tribal people, in Attappady under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) so far this financial year.An amount of Rs.4.45 crore was spent as wages in Agali grama panchayat; Rs.1.58 crore in pudur; and Rs.1.04 crore in Sholayur grama panchayat.
Block Programme Officer P.V. Radhakrishnan said that Rs.10 crore would be spent on wages to provide employment to over 10,000 families in Attappady Block this financial year.
