Kerala Assembly adjourned on Tuesday

The Kerala Assembly was adjourned sine die on Tuesday, two days ahead of its schedule.The House passed nine Bills during the session, which began with the Governor’s Address to the House on February 1. Four of the legislation — the Kerala Protection of Interests of Depositors in Financial Establishments Bill, the Kerala Dairy Farmers’ Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, the Kerala Headload Workers’ (Amendment) Bill, and the Kerala Tolls (Amendment) Bill — were passed on Tuesday.
Adjourning the House, Speaker G. Karthikeyan said that Ministers had answered, on average, 382 questions a day, either orally or in writing during the session. As many as 200 submissions were raised and 10 adjournment motions moved during the session.
