Kerala Blasters have been awfully quiet for the last fortnight leaving the fans confused as to what was going on with the club. They did not announce any signings nor did they post any news about the club in general. Signing Sanchez Watt and Antonio German was not even confirmed bu the club.

However in an open letter to the fans, Blasters apologized for their absence from all social networking platforms and announced their plan of starting a brand new website and a first of its kind Fan’s reward program. They also claimed that they would confirm their full squad for the second edition of the Indian Super League soon.

In the letter Kerala wrote, We may have been silent on the social media front but can assure you that we have been tirelessly working towards creating a standard which will be unmatched and unparalleled.

The Sachin Tendulkar-owned team are the only club who haven’t officially announced their marquee player, although it is rumoured to be Spanish World Cup winner,Carlos Marchena and their foreign player quota seems to be running thin.

Kerala were the surprise team in the first edition of the Indian Super League when they reached the final of the competition, but ended up on the losing side against Atletico de Kolkata. The Kerala fans were praise from all around for the way they received the ISL having an average attendance of over 45,000 and on Facebook they have over 6 lakh likes.

In an interview last year, David James who was clearly impressed by the support shown by the fans stating, I’ve played at a number of stadiums in my career, but honestly, I can’t recall ever playing in an atmosphere like the one in Kochi. It is absolutely amazing. Sure Wembley when it’s packed with 1,00,000 fans is noisy, Goa was pretty loud too, but they are nothing to compete to our stadium. The 60,000 people with the continuously beats of the drums make it unique. The fans will be waiting eagerly for the new website to be launched and for the complete squad to be announced.
