Kerala Men Held for Merchants Murder

Jithendra Kumar, 22, a cosmetics merchant from Akkipet, was found dead in a room in Pai Viceroy Hotel near Minerva Circle on May 3, 2012. Kumar was called to the room by Thrinesh Thaikodatthil, a resident of Kozhikode, Kerala. According to police, Thrinesh had booked a room in the Hotel for four days between May 1 and May 4, 2012. He introduced himself as Babuji Rao, a cosmetics supplier, to Dayalal, the proprietor of a cosmetics shop in Akkipet.
Thrinesh invited Dayalal to his room for a business deal. However, Dayalal’s son, Jithendra Kumar met Thrinesh in the hotel room.Preliminary investigation revealed that Thrinesh hailed from Chennai and a special team of police which went to Chennai found that he had fled to Malayasia by then. A red corner notice was issued against him in August 2012.
On February 15, 2013, the City police received information that Trinesh was scheduled to arrive at Tiruchirapalli international airport in Tamil Nadu, from where he was taken into custody
