Kerala registered a pass percentage of 99.96

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today announced class XII results and Kerala region registered a pass percentage of 99.96. A release issued by the CBSE, Regional Office, Chennai, said 65,893 of the 65,919 students who appeared for the Class 10 examinations had qualified for admission to the next level and 26 students had been declared eligible for improvement of performance.
The State occupies the second slot in pass percentage after Goa, which secured 100 per cent. Statistics released by the regional office revealed that the State had 880 schools affiliated to the CBSE, the highest in the Chennai region. Of them, 836 are in the private sector.
The overall performance is reflected in individual subjects in the form of grades — A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 and D. The students will be given a certificate of continuous and comprehensive evaluation based on their performance in Class IX as well as in Class X.
