Kerala Tourism Office in Chandigarh

Kerala Tourism Department has decided to appoint a full time liaison office here. The tourism promotion programme kicked off with an event, “Discover Kerala- Recharge Your Soula” on Tuesday.
It was a blend of the state’s region and religion, from its dance forms kathakali, theyyam and thullal to delicious cuisine, pottupuri, thattukada, chaayaakada. The afternoon session was followed by a trade meeting amongst business people from Kerala and Chandigarh.
The tourism department is planning to conduct workshops across the country and in all parts of the world (Sweden, France and Germany) in order to draw more visitors. Since last year the iconic destinations of Kerala have figured on the world tourism map”.
