Local Bodies gets Online Approval

Local bodies in Kerala have secured online approval for a little more than 1.97 lakh schemes during 2013-14 at an outlay of Rs 9920.58 crore. This was an increase of Rs 864 crore over the outlay of the previous year.
Among city corporations, Thiruvananthapuram came up with highest outlays approved at Rs 171.03 crore for 598 schemes. It was followed by Kollam (Rs 113.12 crore for 784 schemes); Ernakulam (Rs 131.91 crore for 1,123 schemes); Thrissur (Rs 49.86 crore for 597 schemes); and Kozhikode (Rs 129.71 crore for 1,351 schemes).
