Malaysian Airline from Kerala is one Huge Demand

In the first month of operating its daily flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kochi, India, Malaysia Airline Systems Bhd (Malaysia Airlines) hits a record high of 85 per cent in the average passenger load factor or the occupancy rate of seats.
The national carrier launched its operations with 160-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the Kochi-Kuala Lumpur route on September 1.The daily flight departs Kuala Lumpur at 22:30 and arrives in the Indian city at 00:01 the next day, while the return service leaves Kochi at 00:50 and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 7:40.
“India is a big market for us and I am optimistic we shall achieve commendable growth on this six destinations,” said the airline’s area manager of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Mohd Zuraidi Mohd Saisi.
Zuraidi, who has served in Malaysian Airlines’ offices in Kuwait, Dubai, Vietnam, Phuket and its main office in Kuala Lumpur said he had just been in India for a month with his base in Chennai while travelling to Kerala frequently.
A series of promotional activities had been organised in Kochi in collaboration with the Kerala Tourism Board with forthcoming events of hosting the Indonesia and Japan travel agents in Kochi.Zuraidi also said on October 19, Malaysia Airlines will be promoting Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi as tourist destinations in Kochi with plans to promote Sarawak and Sabah in January next year.
