New terminal at Cochin Airport May Start Next Year : Says Oommen Chandy
The new terminal at the Cochin International Airport will be operational by May next year, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said today.
Chandy is also the chairman of Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), which operates the airport.
Besides, the company announced 21 per cent dividend for its shareholders.
With this, the total paid-up dividend of the company would become 153 per cent, according to an official release issued after the annual general body meeting of shareholders, chaired by Chandy.
The total revenue of the company increased to Rs 413.96 crore and the total profit touched Rs 144.58 crore during the last financial year, registering a growth of 19.69 per cent in revenue and 16.25 per cent in profit, it added.
The airport also achieved a remarkable increase in the passenger traffic, touching a high of 64 lakh, the release said.
