The fishermen, missing since a boat capsize close to the Venduruthy bridge, have been identified as Madhavan, 74, of Kaithavalappu house and Padmanabhan, 60, of Puthuvalnikarthil house.
According to the police, eight people from South Paravoor, had set out on a fishing expedition in two country boats on Saturday night. They were engaged in fixing the nets to the stakes in the lake when a heavy wave of water dashed the boats against the stakes.
