Strike By Tanker Lorries in Kerala

Due to 24 hour strike by tanker lorries in Kerala, movement of petroleum in the state wa hit badly. The tanker lorry operators are on strike demanding withdrawal of the Transport Commissioner’s stipulations that tanker lorries should have two drivers and a helper while criss-crossing the state.
The lorries are also not supposed to ply between 8 am and 11 am and between 4 pm and 6 pm. The strike is being organised by All Kerala LPG Truck and Tanker lorry dealers, owners and workers co-ordination committee.
