Vice-Chancellor P N Suresh Resigns

Kerala Kalamandalam Vice-Chancellor P N Suresh resigned from the Nair Service Society (NSS) director board on Wednesday stating that he could not continue in an organisation that flays the policies and stands of the government.

“There was absolutely no bar on or any illegality in continuing as NSS director board member and as Kalamandalam Vice-Chancellor simultaneously. But, ethically, being a public servant, it is not right to be a part of a body that strongly opposes the policies and views of the government,” Suresh said.

P N Suresh also pointed out that the NSS was aware of his assignment as vice-chancellor when he was selected as a director board member.  He was also the only government employee in the NSS director board.
