Kamal Haasan might have been pushed to the brink of losing his house after suffered massive financial loss due to the delay in release of his latest flick Vishwaroopam in Tamil Nadu but movie theaters along the TN-Kerala border are raking in the moolah from its screenings since last week.
Dhanalakshmi theatre, a six decade old C class theatre in Velanthavalam, Palakkad, has been screening the film since last week. A team of Kerala police from Kozhinjapara police station has also been deployed at the hall to manage the crowd. Touts in and around Velandhavalam are able to sell tickets at very high rates. “We have a capacity of 280 seats and it has been houseful ever since we started screening Vishwaroopam,” said Raghu alias P Gopalakrishnan, owner of Dhanalakshmi theatre.
