WEF World Economic Forum to Be Hosted by Kerala

Kerala will be hosting World Economic Forum and it will be the first time that this will happening in South India.The meeting would be held on November 8 and 9 in Cochin. WEF said the choice of Kerala as host for the meeting reflects the forum’s deeper engagement with India on both a regional as well as national level.
“With our community of leaders from Indian industry, civil society and government, the objective of our meeting this year is to exchange on the priorities for the country following the national elections for India to maximize its full potential for inclusive growth,” Sushant Palakurthi Rao, Senior Director, Head of Asia, WEF said.
“It is a matter of great pride for Kerala to host such an international event, which will bring together over 200 participants with a strong representation of CEOs from multinational corporations,” Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said in a statement.
