Palakkad Rail Division earns 45% growth

Palakkad Divisional Railway Manager and chairman of the Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee Piyush Agarwal has said that the division has recorded a growth of 45 per cent in all spheres so far this fiscal with an overall earnings of Rs.564 crore compared to the previous year.

Presiding over a meeting of the consultative committee here on Monday, he said that an additional sleeper coach and two general coaches had been added to train no. 16518/16517 Kannur-Yeshvantpur-Kannur Express from December 2.Three more reservation centres would be opened shortly, he said. Additional Divisional Railway Manager Mohan A. Menon, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager K.P. Damodaran, and Senior Divisional Operations Manager V.C. Sudeesh spoke.
