About 308 Doctors Put For Sabarimala

For the ensuing Sabarimala season 308 doctors have been put on duty from the state health department in eight different hospitals.Doctors who fail to report for duty will be suspended immediately as per the order issued by the health department.

Doctors have been assigned duty in batches. A single batch will have 28 doctors working in eight hospitals for seven days. Starting from November 15 there will be 11 batches of doctors working till January 21, end of the Makravilakku season. Besides, para-medical staff have also been deputed at these hospitals in five batches. Each team will work for two weeks in each hospital.

“This time the Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association ( KGMOA) has extended its full support in assigning duties to doctors and hence the health department is of the view that it will be a hassle-free Sabarimala season,” said a senior health department official.

“Under no circumstances posting orders will be cancelled or change of dates will be entertained. In unavoidable circumstances, if necessary, the district medical officer of health concerned can post suitable substitutes at his/her own risk under intimation,” said the order issued by the director of health service.

The government dispensary, Sannidhanam, operation theatre, Sannidhanam, cardiology centre, Appachimedu, cardiology centre, Neelimala, government dispensary, Pampa, primary health centre, Nilakkal, general hospital, Pathanamthitta, and community health centre, Erumeli, are the hospitals where the doctors have been assigned duties for the pilgrimage season.

The doctors have been assigned duty in batches such that a single batch will have 28 doctors working in eight hospitals for seven days. Apart from this para-medical staff has also been deputed for duty in these hospitals in five batches. Reach team will work for two weeks in each hospital.
