Admission to Kerala UG Medical Courses Through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

Kerala is one of the state that has accepted the proposal of Medical Council of India (MCI), earlier MCI has insisted that all states should discontinue their own state level medical CETs from 2013 and allow admissions for MBBS & BDS courses based on merit in NEET UG.The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Under Graduate medical courses (MBBS / BDS) NEET UG as per the schedule announced by CBSE will be held on 05 May 2013.
Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu has secured legal defense through high court stay orders, while Karnataka, Kerala has agreed to abolish Medial CET and join NEET UG. Kerala and Karnataka Cadidated aspiring for admission in MBBS & BDS should appear in NEET UG 2013 for admission in colleges. Allotment of seats in these collegs will be done by their respective state governments.
Instead of KEAM 2013, Kerala students will give a shot at NEET UG 2013 and Karnataka will do away with CET and look forward for NEET UG. KEA website has information related to NEET UG syllabus.
