Kerala Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar has said that supply of life-saving drugs will be ensured in the market.
The drugs controller has been briefed specifically in this context. This follows reduction in the prices of 293 drugs out of the 348 notified by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority and the anticipated delay in reaching the supplies of newly priced ones.
The drugs controller has clarified that arrangements have been made to make available existing stocks at reduced prices as notified by the national authority. The public has been advised to get in touch with drug inspectors or the assistant drugs controller in case of difficulty in sourcing life-saving drugs.
