Dubai-based DM Healthcare Planning to Set Up Branch in Kerala

Dubai-based DM Healthcare has prepared an ambitious plan for new projects worth $410m in Kerala over the next three years, expanding upon its existing 150 facility network in the Middle East.DM’s main project Aster Medcity, a 540-bed hospital in Kochi, Cheranallur, will see its $90m first phase of commissioned in October 2013, according to DM Healthcare chairman Dr. Azad Moopen.
The entire project, built along a 1,000m waterfront and across 16 hectares, will comprise 300,000m2. Moopen said: “The Group has big expansion in the GCC and India with the number of units set to grow to 300 by the year 2017 with investments of $600m across Middle East and India.”
The group is also currently investing 45 in Wayanad medical college and institute of medical science and $20m in a 200-bed multispecialty hospital in Kannur.
