Government Holiday in Erumeli on Occasion of Pettathullal

On the Occasion of traditional Pettathullal district administration has declared a holiday for all government offices and educational institutions in the Erumeli grama panchayat area on Friday. However, the declaration of holiday will not affect public programmes scheduled for the day.
Traffic restrictions have been imposed in the area in view of the ritual. Vehicles approaching Erumeli from Mukkoottuthara, Vechuchira, and Ranni will be diverted through Karimbinthodu, and those coming from Kanjirappally will be diverted through Kuruvamuzhy.
Over a hundred police personnel, under the supervision of four circle inspectors, have been deployed in the area, sources said.
