Hummer Case: Security Guard Dies
Chandrabose a security guard who was run into with a Hummer SUV by an enraged businessman in Kerala last month, has died on Monday.
47-year-old Chandrabose was being treated at a hospital in Thrissur, nearly 300 kilometres from state capital Thiruvananthapuram. He had suffered multiple fractures after he was rammed with the car.
The businessman, Muhammed Nisham, was arrested on charges and is currently in police custody.
Nisham had run his Hummer into the guard to pin him against a wall, then emerged from the car and beat his victim repeatedly with an iron rod till others intervened. He was reportedly furious that the guard took too long to allow his car into the gated community where he lives.
Police said that the businessman, who owns a tobacco company, has faced 10 police cases, and most of them were reportedly settled out of court.
