The United Democratic Front (UDF) government has decided to refer the solar scam for an inquiry by a sitting judge of the Kerala High Court.
Announcing this at a news conference here on Tuesday, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy urged the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) to call off its indefinite siege of the State secretariat in the light of the government decision.
Mr. Chandy offered to consider any proposal the Opposition may have on the terms of reference of the judicial inquiry and urged the LDF leadership to make use of this opportunity.
The LDF State leadership will be holding an emergency meeting soon to finalise its response to the government decision.
