Union Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies K V Thomas said that peoples’ participation could make government’s activities successful. The minister said this while inaugurating a cleaning drive at Fort Kochi beach organised by the Alumni Association of the Cochin College on Monday.

He pointed out that the NGOs support was essential for activities in heritage zone. Offering felicitations, Dominic Presentation MLA said that involvement of NGOs and voluntary organisation would be ensured in forthcoming activities in heritage zone.

Alumni Association patron professor Rajagopalan and Cinemala director Diana Sylvester received the cleaning equipment from the Minister.

Kochi Corporation Health Standing Committee chairman T K Ashraf, councillor Antony Kureethara, Cochin College principal Jose P Abraham and T P Salim Kumar were present.Convener Faisal P Ummer proposed vote of thanks.
