Kerala Actors to be Honored in Doha

A group of expatriates from Kerala is holding a movie award extravaganza featuring some of the top actors from the southern Indian state at the Old Ideal Indian School grounds on May 10. The show, “The Indian Movie Awards in Qatar (IMAQ 2013)” will feature, among others, one of the most sought after actors of the Malayalam cinema, Mohanlal, and Reema Kallungal, who recently was adjudged the “best actress” at this year’s Kerala Government Film Awards.

Informing this yesterday, the organizers said the show to be held in May will have the presence of about 40 actors and actresses from the Kerala film industry.A stage show featuring the artistes will also be held on the occasion. It will be under the aegis of Music Lounge, a newly opened academy of performing arts .
