Kerala Health Tourism 4th Edition to Start from 31st October

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), with the support of the state government, will organize the fourth edition of the Kerala Health Tourism (KHT) at Hotel Le Meridien in Kochi from October 31 to November 2.
The KHT was started in 2006 to promote Kerala as a health tourism destination. After KHT’s second edition in 2007, hospitals in Kerala on an average reported 30-40% increase in medical tourists. The KHT 2011 (third edition) was also a success, said a representative.
The KHT 2013 will highlight emerging trends, opportunities and challenges in Indian health tourism, the preparedness of Indian hospitals, etc. It will bring together hospitals, health insurance policy makers, tourism promotion boards, health travel and tourism operators and international institutions for promotion of health tourism.
International insurance companies, third party administrators, airlines, embassies and trade offices, leading hospitals, hotels and resorts, spas and health travel & tour operators will also participate in the exhibition.
The CII’s is introducing a focused exhibition on medical equipment, ‘MediEquip 2013’, will also be held at the same venue.The exhibition will showcase the latest models of medical equipment.
