Kerala Police Registered Case against Kochi-Muziris Biennale Organizer

The Kerala police on Wednesday registered a case against the organizers of the ongoing Kochi-Muziris Biennale on charges of displaying flags of banned outfits like Indian Mujahideen and SIMI.
However, the police said the FIR has not specifically named any organizer so far. A case under section 10(4) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967 was registered against the organizers for assisting the operation of organizations declared unlawful by a notification. The moves comes in the wake of Dutch artist Jonas Staal announcing a plan to hold a summit of banned terror outfits, The billboards on his installations also depicted the flags of banned outfits in India and abroad. The police at present no case has been registered against Staal.
