Finance Minister K.M. Mani has allocated an incremental Rs 100 crore for Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) as part of budget allocations. Mani announced this in the State Assembly during reply to discussions on the State budget 2013-14. This follows criticism that the original Rs 100 crore allocated for the crisis-ridden transport utility was much less than it deserved and sought for.

Meanwhile, official sources said that oil marketing companies have refused to cede to the State Government request to route diesel supplies through the State-owned (Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation or Supplyco) fuel outlets.
