Mass Deaths of Cows Dairy Owner Registered a Case For Investigation

Kunjamma, 65 award-winning woman dairy farmer in at Nalukodi near Chanaganacherry in Kottayam district in Kerala had been keeping cows for a few decades. She had been running her family from the income from her dairy operations before tragedy struck on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, eight of her cows collapsed and died and another three died on Tuesday, leaving her with a lone calf.
An inconsolable Kunjamma told local media that she suspected foul play and that there may be a possibility that someone had poisoned her cows.The blood samples of the cows have been sent for investigation. The post-mortem results are also awaited before any conclusion can be drawn.
Officials have also collected samples of the grass and water in the tank of the dairy farm as part of their investigations. The local police have registered a case based on Kunjamma’s complaint.
