Mobility Hub at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport

A high-level committee of officials will meet early next month to discuss the prospects of developing a mobility hub centred on the Thiruvananthapuram international airport. It will also examine a proposal to set up an airport-linked industrial cluster consisting of small and medium enterprises manufacturing aircraft components.
The mobility hub will be a one-stop facility for visitors to access all modes of transport, according to Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar, who represents the capital city in the State Assembly. He said this while speaking at the international airport where a ‘tourist visa on arrival facility’ was launched on August 15.
He also said that the new visa regime, both here and at Kochi international airports, would mark a new chapter for Kerala Tourism and help attract more foreign visitors to the State. Kerala is also the only State to have two airports offering the service, an official said.
