More Start Up villages in State , Existing Seeking More Grants

State Government has appealed for 10 more start up village including 4 Technology Business Incubators and have submitted to center for its approval meanwahile the existinf startup villages are seeking for more grant .
Recently National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) team visited the state and the officials of TBI’s are hoping NSTEDBwould recommend mor grants of rs 10 Crore for Kochi Start Up Village and about Rs 65 lakh for the Technopark-TBI in state capital.
NSTEDB which have recommended 10 more Start Upo Village in the state to center are expected too get approved by the center soon. Officials are also hoping for tax relaxation of 4.5% VAT and around 5% sales tax imposed by the state through policy shift to offer sales tax break.
