New Software for Kerala Secretariat Department

The Cabinet on Wednesday decided to introduce the e-office software developed by the National Informatics Centre in all departments of the Secretariat.
The software is capable of handling department files in electronic format and has features such as knowledge management system, personnel information system, and collaboration and messaging services. It has an open architecture and claimed to be technology neutral with common data sets and standards.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy told the media after the Cabinet meeting that the government proposed to widen the use of file tracking system which was already in use at the Secretariat.
