Powerline Failure Hit Train Services in Kerala
Due to failure in Powerline Train services between Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram city were efected and were cancelled later.
Train services between Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram were disrupted for a few hours early Sunday as a high-tension line of the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) fell on a railway electric line, damaging the traction distribution system. The system was restored by 7 a.m.
The Kozhikode Janshatabdi Express, scheduled to leave Thiruvananthapuram, at 6 a.m.; Venad Express to Shoranur at 5 a.m.; and Kollam – Thiruvananthapuram passenger scheduled to leave at 8.30 a.m. from Kollam were cancelled for the day. The Mangalore – Thiruvananthpuram Express, scheduled to reach Thiruvananthapuram at 4.45 a.m., was terminated at Kadakkavoor. The Maveli Express to Thiruvananthapuram; Chennai – Thiruvananthapuram Superfast Express; and Mangalore – Thiruvananthapuram Malabar Express; were terminated at Kollam.
