Public Health Sectors Hit By Strike By Government Doctors

On Friday the strike uphold by the government doctors protest against alleged political interference in hospital matters badly affected public health sector of the state . Kerala government Medical Officers Association president O S Syam Sundar said their demand was to revoke transfer of the Cherthala Taluk Hospital Superintendent, an action which amounted to ‘political intervention’ and cannot be justified.
“We have also decided to launch a state-wide non-cooperation strike from tomorrow and doctors will not attend meetings convened by the government and District Medical Officers”, he said.
