Seven Malayalam Included in IIFK Feature Film Section

Seven Malayalam movies Indian Rupee, Friday, Ee Adutha Kaalathu, Ithra Maathram, Ozhimuri, Aakaashathinte Niram and Chayillyam are included in the feature film section of the upcoming International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK). Indian Rupee speaks of how the craze for money leads to moral degeneration among today’s youth.
Friday, directed by Lijin Jose, has Fahad Fazil, Ann Augustine and Manu playing the lead roles. The film in which Fahad plays an auto driver was shot in Alappuzha. Ee Adutha Kaalathu is all about the lives of six persons crossing paths from events beyond their control. Ithra Maathram takes the name of the novel on which the movie is based. Ozhimuri film portrays the matrilineal system that prevailed in the Nair community in erstwhile Travancore.
Aakashathinte Niram, directed by Biju, stars Indrajith and Amala Paul and narrates the life of an old man and the transformation he brings about in another person.
