State Tourism Investment Promotion Board Gets Approval
Giving a fillip to tourism promotion in the state, the State Tourism Investment Promotion Board has been set up with the chief minister as chairman.
The Cabinet meeting on Wednesday took a decision to set up the board with the tourism minister as vice-chairman and the tourism secretary as convener. Ministers of finance, revenue, industries, health and agriculture, along with the joint secretary of the Union Tourism Ministry, finance principal secretary, industries secretary, health secretary, tourism director, bankers representative from state-level bankers committee and representatives from the tourism and industries sectors will be the members of the board.
The Cabinet decided to give permanent posting to 54 contract labourers, who have completed 10 years with the C-DIT. Also a decision was taken to create 54 posts at the entry level.
