Thuppakki a superhit in Kerala Box Office

Ilaiyathalapathy Vijay’s latest offering Thuppakki has taken the Kerala Box Office by storm. The film, which released for Diwali on November 13 in 124 screens, has taken a superb opening in the state.The film went on to gross more than seven crores in its first two weeks (Nov 13 to 26). We hear that the distributor made approximately Rs 3 crore in the first two weeks of the film’s release.
The film has been declared a super hit in Kerala and thus has overtaken all the Malayalam releases during the same period, including Dileep’s My Boss, Lal Jose’s Aayalaum Gnanum Thammil and Shafi’s 101 Weddings.Ang Lee’s Life of Pi which had a limited release is also running full theaters in the state.
